Genuine Parts ensure that your BAIC operates the way the manufacturer intended because they are designed and developed with the vehicle. Only authorized dealers and service providers can provide you with genuine parts to guarantee your vehicle run in a healthy manner. It maintains the quality of your vehicle and ensures the longevity of your vehicle.

To guarantee that your vehicle maintains its best condition, only OEM-approved dealerships or service providers are qualified to do the repair or service work, and only OEM genuine parts should be used in the repair or service of your BAIC vehicle.

Regular Service Plan

Objectives: Supply the vehicle purchase and regular service in one stop, guarantee the regular service be conducted in time, keep the best performance of the product in all time.

Policy content: B40 PLUS model are providing 4 years / 60,000km (whichever comes first) service plan package. BEIJING X55 model are providing 5 years / 60,000km (whichever comes first) service plan package. Customers can choose to buy with the car or choose to buy the service plan separately.

Please note: To enhance the customer experience, the Regular Service Plan are currently offered free of charge by BAIC SA. The exact date of commencement of charges will be announced separately.

Service Plan Extender

A Extended Service Plan covers the Manufacturer-specified parts, labor and oil required for the scheduled servicing of your BEIJING X55 vehicle.

Duration of cover
Your extended service plan will start from the date which normal service plan(5 years/60000km) ends and will run for either a set period of time (e.g. 2 years) or up to a specified number of kilometers (e.g. 90000 km), whichever happens first.

Please Note: Should you service your BEIJING X55 vehicle annually only the set number of service intervals chosen by you will be covered by your extended Service Plan.

What is covered.
Parts for regular maintenance, engine oil, engine filter, air conditioning filter, air filter, gearbox oil, gearbox oil filter, engine coolant, brake fluid and labor costs.

Service Requirement
Do not miss your service deadline: You must take your BEIJING X55 vehicle in for a service as per Manufacturer’s requirements stipulated in your vehicles’ warranty manual within the Time and Kilometers Limits.

You will service your BEIJING X55 vehicle as per Manufacturer’s specifications within the time and kilometers. Failure to comply will render your Extender Service Plan invalid.

Use an approved repair facility: You must only allow an Authorized BAIC SA Dealer to repair or service your BEIJING X55 vehicle.

Warranty

BAIC provides a 5-year or 150,000km warranty for BEIJING X55 and 5-year or 120,000km warranty for other BAIC vehicle. For further details, please refer to the Warranty Booklet of your specific model.

Roadside Assistance

Our Roadside Assistance is provided by AA, which covers the below items:
AA Road Patrol services
This service is available 24/7/365 days a year. The primary objective of the AA’s road patrol and hybrid van fleet is to effect on-the-spot mobility at the roadside (95% of the time we get vehicles mobilized). The service is available in the major metropolitan areas of Gauteng (Johannesburg & Pretoria), Vaal Triangle, Cape Town, Durban, East London, Port Elizabeth, Polokwane, Rustenburg & Nelspruit. Some of the services offered include:
  • Change of a flat tyre
  • Out of fuel - Provision of fuel to a maximum of 10 liters (free)
  • Jump-start
  • Mobile battery replacements. Upfront payment required by the customer for the battery
  • Key lockout service
  • Minor roadside running repairs, includes electrical, coil, immobilizer, battery related breakdowns.
AA Locksmith services
This service is available 24/7/365 days a year. In the event that an AA road patrol is unable to open a vehicle to retrieve the keys from the vehicle, or should the incident have occurred outside of an AA road patrol operating area, the AA will dispatch an accredited locksmith service provider to the incident scene to open the vehicle.

The service is limited to 40km, thereafter the driver of the vehicle or BAIC will be required to pay the additional km.

The maximum cover per call-out is R500 excl VAT.
AA Mechanical and Electrical Breakdown Tow
In the event of a mechanical or electrical breakdown that requires a tow, the AA will arrange for the vehicle to be towed to the nearest accredited/preferred dealer/repairer/yard from the breakdown scene. The service is limited to 40km, thereafter the driver of the vehicle or BAIC will be required to pay the additional km.
AA Standby You
The objective of the roadside security response service is to provide roadside security to BAIC customers who require roadside assistance. This will be done by dispatching an armed ADT Security response officer to the incident scene who will secure the scene and wait with the customer until the necessary AA technical service responds to the call. The service is available in major metropolitan areas of South Africa.
AA Standby You
The AA provides 24-hour AA Mayday emergency medical assistance services for unforeseen medical emergencies. The AA will arrange for emergency medical evacuation to a suitable medical facility in the event of a medical emergency. The service is available nationally and the service is provided by Netcare 911.
